摘要: Participants in the sport of adventure racing often choose to go without sleep for a period greater than 24 h while partaking prolonged submaximal exercise. This study examined effect 30 deprivation and intermittent physical exercise, on cardiorespiratory markers exercise six subjects. Six subjects with following characteristics participated (mean +/- SD): age 22 0.3 years, height 180 5 cm, body mass: 77 kg, VO2peak 44 ml. kg (-1). min Three engaged normal sedentary activities three others cycled cycle ergometer at 50 % 20 out every two hours during thirty deprivation. One week later was repeated cross over Every four hours, completed assessments function cycling. A 3 x 8 measures ANOVA revealed significantly lower heart rate (p 0.05) respiratory gas exchange variables. Neither deprivation, nor combination five moderate intensity cycling, appear be limiting factors physiological capacity perform
