摘要: Abstract Even after its being phased out in gasoline the late 90s, lead (Pb) is still present at relatively high levels atmosphere of Beijing, China (0.10–0.18 μg m −3 ). Its origin subject to debate as several distinct sources may contribute observed pollution levels. This study proposes constrain origin(s) Pb and strontium (Sr) aerosols, by coupling both Sr isotope systematics. The characterisation main (road traffic, smelters, metal refining plants, coal combustion, cement factories, soil erosion) shows that they can unambiguously be discriminated multi-isotope approach ( 206 Pb/ 204 87 Sr/ 86 Sr). total suspended particulates (TSP) fine particles (PM 2.5 ) from Beijing vicinity indicates size fractions are controlled same sources. Lead isotopes indicate plants major source atmospheric lead, followed thermal power stations other combustion processes. role this latter confirmed of strontium isotopes. Occasionally, emissions and/or input alteration isotopically detectable.
