摘要: This study was conducted to evaluate the influence of chloride ions (Cl-) on organic contaminants decolorization by Fe0-activated persulfate process (PS/Fe0), as well generation transformation products. Orange II (OII) chosen target pollution. The results indicated that Cl- influenced OII PS/Fe0 system, resulting in chlorine-containing by-products. containing solution can be efficiently decolorized process, and efficiencies changed depending concentration due reaction between sulfate radicals (SO4-•). operating cost for 94% color 64% chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal dye estimated at 0.73 USD/m3. by-products, such chlorobenzene, 3,5-dichloro-benzene-1,2-diol, 2,3-dichloro-2,3-dihydro-1,4-naphthoquinone, were generated during reaction. further increasing both PS temperature enhanced reduced intermediates. addition ultrasound decrease intermediates under high-temperature conditions. proposed pathways also SO4-• dominated degradation, while presence led
