摘要: In amphibians, most urodeles (newts) exhibit polyspermy physiologically, but primitive (Hynobius) and anurans (frogs) monospermy. Several fertilizing sperm induce multiple small Ca2+ waves in the polyspermic egg, a single large wave occurs monospermic egg. The newt eggs are caused by sperm-specific citrate synthase localized outside mitochondria. at monospermy is necessary for eliciting fast block to polyspermy, whereas provide slower egg activation permit entry of several polyspermy. Physiological seems be evolved association with increase size urodeles, reptiles, birds laying larger yolky eggs. factor (citrate synthase) operating already prepared urodele Hynobius. We have focused on comparative studies fertilization among amphibians understand role establishment discussion evolution vertebrates.
