摘要: Delivery systems with a pulsatile-release pattern are receiving increasing interest for the development of drugs which conventional controlled drug-release continuous release not ideal. These often have high first-pass effect or special chronopharmacological needs. A profile is characterized by time period no (lag time) followed rapid and complete drug release. Pulsatile drug-delivery can be classified into site-specific in released at desired site within intestinal tract (e.g., colon), time-controlled devices after well-defined period. Site-controlled usually environmental factors, like pH enzymes present tract, whereas from primarily delivery system and, ideally, environment. This review covers various single- multiple-unit oral pulsatile an emphasis on systems.
