摘要: Aim: The protective effect of vitamin E (vit E) on cadmium (Cd) induced oxidative stress was studied in the blood rats. Methods: rats were randomly divided to three experimental groups: Control, Cd treated and Cd + vit treated, each contain-ing 10 animals. treated groups were injected subcutaneously daily with CdCl2 dissolved isotonic NaCl amount 2 mL/kg for 20 days, resulting a dosage 0.49 mg Cd/kg/d. In addition, Cd + group received intramuscular injection 150 mg/kg vit E until end study. Results: treatment increased significantly malondialdehyde (MDA) levels antioxidant enzyme activities superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) catalase (CAT) plasma erythrocytes compared the control group. treatment, decreased significantly elevated MDA lev-els erythrocyte also reduced significantly the enhanced levels. increased activity iron control group. in the control group, the histology normal. there was marked membrane destruction hemolytic changes in erythrocytes. these less than Cd Conclussion: Our results show that exerts a protective against toxicity.
