摘要: Objective Uncontrolled studies suggest that in vitro fertilization twins have increased rates of preterm birth and low weight would warrant antenatal monitoring. The objective this meta-analysis was to determine whether the incidence poor obstetric outcomes is higher for than spontaneously conceived who were matched maternal age. Study design Medline EMBASE searched with comprehensive search strategies. Case-control cohort by or fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection, transfer fresh embryos cryopreserved (frozen) women infertility, and/or whose partners subfertile infertile, compared naturally (spontaneously) age (case-control studies) which controlled it (cohort studies). Two reviewers independently assessed titles, abstracts, study quality extracted data. Statistical analysis performed commercial statistical software. Dichotomous data meta-analyzed odds ratios as measures effect size, continuous mean differences. Interstudy variation incorporated assumption a random effects model treatment effect. Results Compared age, an risk between 32 36 weeks gestation (odds ratio, 1.48; 95% CI, 1.05-2.10), elevated at Conclusion In despite fact their be expected better because decreased proportion monochorionic twins.
