摘要: An increase of physical activity is commonly recommended to those with disability, but it necessary distinguish competitive sport from fitness programmes, remedial gymnastics and active recreation. Potential benefits enhanced are reviewed. Likely psychological gains include an improvement mood-state, a reduction anxiety depression, self-esteem feelings greater self-efficacy. Sociological new experiences, friendships, countering stigmatization. Perceived health improved, in more long-term perspective there reduced risk many chronic diseases. Finally, likelihood employment, less absenteeism productivity. Both the industrial have potential yield cost savings that could make important contribution toward expense suitably adapted programmes.
