摘要: From the Publisher: This text covers all material needed to understand principles behind AI approach robotics and program an artificially intelligent robot for applications involving sensing, navigation, planning, uncertainty. Robin Murphy is extremely effective at combining theoretical practical rigor with a light narrative touch. In overview, example, she touches upon anthropomorphic robots from classic films science fiction stories before delving into nuts bolts of organizing intelligence in robots. Following contrasts engineering approaches discusses what calls three paradigms robotics: hierarchical, reactive, hybrid deliberative/reactive. Later chapters explore multiagent scenarios, navigation path-planning mobile robots, basics computer vision range sensing. Each chapter includes objectives, review questions, exercises. Many contain one or more case studies showing how concepts were implemented on real robots. Murphy, who well known her classroom teaching, conveys intellectual adventure mastering complex technical material.
