Role of glutathione S-transferase Mu-1 (GSTM1) polymorphism in oligospermic infertile males.

摘要: The aim of this study was to examine whether an association exists between glutathione S-transferase Mu-1 (GSTM1) gene polymorphism and idiopathic male infertility. Forty-two men with infertility 43 fertile were recruited for study. GSTM1 analysed using PCR technique. frequency null (-) genotype observed be 45.2% in infertile as against 20.09% men. Subjects the had lower sperm concentrations motility when compared subjects GSTM1-positive both groups. This shows that is significantly high males (OR = 0.32, P 0.017, 95% CI 0.124-0.831).
