摘要: This is a good time to write general article on imprinting. In the last 5 years or so imprinting has progressed from an intriguing embryological observation firmly established biological principle with far-reaching consequences for mammalian development, genetics, and human disease. We now know why parthenogenesis in some mammals not possible. of imprinted genes we even what they do. that disomy can cause disease humans. genetic phenomena extend classical Mendelian concepts. And are gaining knowledge molecular mechanism imprinting, makes us believe imprinting-like epigenetic controls guide differentiation all multicellular organisms.
