摘要: A heuristic method is presented for the simultaneous layout and component size optimization of water distribution networks. The based on engineering concept reliability in which number independent paths from source nodes to each consumption considered as a measure reliability. starts with predefined maximum includes all possible useful connections. An iterative design-float procedure then used move current cheaper satisfying predetermined set by user. This achieved via identifying hydraulically least important pipes floating one would lead cheapest layout. pipe floated relaxing its minimum diameter constraint requirement so that process could eliminate assigning zero value if required. penalty design purpose at iteration. Three different procedures are developed their efficiencies tested. also convert continuous solution discrete solutions. performance networks tested against benchmark example literature results presented.
