摘要: Laminaria abyssalis fronds were either collected at the Brazilian costal area - 40 meters below sea level or grown in laboratory. The photochemical yield as defined by Fv/Fm and Fo dark fluorescence when all PSII centers are open varied with distance from stipe to tip of blade wild while it stayed constant laboratory plants. chlorophyll a/c ratio levels decreased 12 (near stipe) 6 near top. c content increased 0.8 1.7 mg cm−2 fronds. did not show variations their contents. pattern changed after 2 months kept laboratory, producing similar results those indicate that antenna complex increase top blade, a fashion sun/shade leaves. Also, show, this alga is able adapt itself new light conditions, possibly increasing its photosynthetic units.
