摘要: The use of Drosophila as an organism in which to study aging has been limited by the fact that few biomarkers exist adult. In this paper we examine behavior loss relative longevity wild-type populations maintained at 22°C and 29°C determine whether loss—that is, ability perform certain innate behavioral responses within a defined test interval—can be used aging. We find under controlled conditions can landmark either or 29°C. normal geotactic phototactic is lost during reproductive phase adult populations, whereas motor activity not until well into death phase. feel loss, together with other parameters Drosophila, will allow comparisons made between different strains environmental their effect on companion demonstrate identify mutation may accelerate process.
