摘要: Microbial symbionts are nowadays considered of pivotal importance for animal life. Among the many processes where microorganisms involved, an emerging research avenue focuses on their major role in driving evolution chemical communication hosts. Volatiles bacterial origin may underlie and transfer social information through signals, as well inadvertent information. We reviewed between conspecifics, and, because microbiome cause beneficial deleterious effects hosts, we also its determining outcome interactions with parasites predators. Finally, paid special attention to hypothetical predation parasitism microbiome. highlighted novelty theoretical framework derived from considering microbiota animals scenarios communication, parasitism, predation. aimed encourage these areas, suggesting key predictions that need be tested better understand what is one main roles bacteria biology.
