摘要: This paper seeks to add an economic contribution the current debate on using university licensing contracts improve access medicines in developing countries. We build a simple model which we have out academic invention profit-maximizing pharmaceutical company. compare three different types of that might use enhance pharmaceuticals South: (1) exclusive license limited North; (2) worldwide with price cap South; and (3) South clause specifying licensee would lose its exclusivity if it does not supply Southern market. show asymmetric information production costs latter type contract dominates two others.
