摘要: Abstract The current study conducts a series of data analyses the China General Social Survey (CGSS) 2008, latest national survey urban and rural households investigating social structure quality life in China. Overall, Chinese people express remarkable level filial piety. present reveals association between values piety moral actions. However, is significantly correlated with only one practice, namely, providing emotional support. It does not have significant link financial assistance practical assistance. Generally, results support culture-specific evaluation an imbalance respect to actual exchange. We find larger amount offered by younger generations elderly. findings also evidence positive correlation satisfaction Implications, limitations directions for future research are discussed.
