摘要: Abstract An aggregated farm-level index, the Agri-environmental Footprint Index (AFI), based on multiple criteria methods and representing a harmonised approach to evaluation of EU agri-environmental schemes is described. The uses common framework for design policy that can be customised locally relevant issues circumstances. Evaluation strictly policy-focused, or broader more holistic in context-relevant assessment are not necessarily considered evaluated nevertheless incorporated. structure flexible, respond diverse local needs. process construction interactive, engaging farmers other stakeholders transparent decision-making ensure acceptance outcome, help forge an improved understanding priorities potentially increase awareness critical role environmental management. AFI facilitates post-evaluation analysis relative performance different dimensions agri-environment, permitting identification current strengths weaknesses, enabling future improvement design. Quantification impact agriculture beyond stated aims using ‘unweighted’ form has potential as basis ongoing system audit within specified agricultural context.
