摘要: We have examined sensitivity and specificity of pseudocontinuous arterial spin labeling (PCASL) to detect global regional changes in cerebral blood flow (CBF) response two different psychoactive drugs. tested alcohol morphine a placebo-controlled, double-blind randomized study 12 healthy young men. Drugs were administered intravenously. Validated pharmacokinetic protocols achieved minimal intersubject intrasubject variance plasma drug concentration. Permutation-based statistical testing mixed effect repeated measures model revealed widespread increase absolute CBF because both alcohol. Conjunction analysis overlapping effects on the left anterior cingulate, right hippocampus, insula, primary sensorimotor areas. Effects relative (obtained from z-normalization maps) significantly putamen, frontoparietal network, cerebellum, brainstem. Corroborating previous PET results, our findings suggest that PCASL is promising tool for central nervous system research.
