Role of endoscopic ultrasonography in gastric carcinoma.

摘要: Two hundred and fifty four consecutive patients with gastric adenocarcinoma who underwent surgery were preoperatively evaluated endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS). The results compared the post-operative histo-pathological staging. EUS was correct in determining T N stage 83% 66%, respectively. Although accurate absence of lymph node metastases (accuracy N0: 93%), it not reliable stages N1 N2 (64% 52%, respectively).
