How to Trust a Molecule? The Case of Cyclodextrins Entering the Nanorealm

摘要: This contribution emerged from an open, and continuing, discussion between a chemist philosopher, which resulted in common awareness of the importance trusting objects. The purpose this biography molecular object - cyclodextrin is both descriptive normative. Descriptive: to understand how thing can become trust or/and distrust. reveals three layers valuation sustaining process generating trust: reputation, semiosis, ontology. first one acts at level actors' strategies their interplay with regulations, second operates value-laden images conditioning expectations, last concerns changing relationships CD-technology nature. As normative purpose, we aim evaluating these valuations order allow critical generation. Finally, try appraise nanotechnology reconfigures objects by bringing visibility valuations.
