摘要: This paper evaluates different analog-digital beam-forming solutions for future spectrum sharing mm-wave scenarios. In contrast to sub-6 GHz multiantenna schemes where all-digital provide an excellent performance-cost tradeoff, in the bands a very large number of antennas is required, designs cannot be deployed due their cost and complexity. order solve this problem, sub-array are conceived such that reduced radiofrequency chains simultaneously connected through analog beamforming network formed by phase shifters (i.e. with no amplitude control). Different connectivity evaluated; namely, full-connected, localized interleaved considering either have full resolution or only one control bit. As reported paper, while case same performance obtained all schemes, bit, differences show up. The numerical evaluation done alternating feasible point pursuit successive convex approximation (FPP-SCA) optimization which yields efficient even non-convex problem.
