摘要: The present paper intends to illustrate how human cognition has co-evolved with the selection of diverse domesticates, by examining ethnographic materials from Bodi (Me?en) in southwest Ethiopia. color polymorphism is said be one most distinguished characteristics those domesticates. This may a result not only intention that man would control animal and plant reproduction, but also way which he recognized various phenotypes genetic variants included them into his culture. That is, arose process domestication needed for cultural phenomena beings as well biological ones animals plants. In East Africa including Ethiopia Sudan, we can find tremendous varieties coat-color sorghum. author made an intensive survey among Bodi, who depend mainly on cattle goats together sorghum, anthropological point view 1973-6 1991. He found several significant points interrelationship between 1) color-pattern formed basis their folk classification cows reference coat colors. 2) are named colors, they genealogically traced even over sixteen generations. 3) Most cases crossing remembered long keep compound. They have constructed own genetics countless observations, namely resultant hybrids generation generation. able predict, means genetics, what kinds will some coat-color. Their been recently verified geneticist, Nozawa (in press). 4) identify themselves sorghum through particular colors variation, decided naming system, use according coat-colors at rituals (Table 5). 5) order produce offspring identification usage rituals, bulls It quite obvious many indispensable society. Without such variations, it doubtful could exist socially culturally. We say people promoted diversified devices.
