摘要: Objectives Focusing on a Swedish 1942 birth cohort, this study describes the trend of dental health care utilization between age 50 and 65 identifies major determinants visiting habits using Andersen's model as adapted for dentistry theoretical framework. Method In 1992, census 50 year olds in two counties Sweden was invited to participate longitudinal questionnaire survey. Of total population 8888 subjects, 6346 responded (71%). subjects who completed 1992 survey, 4143 (65%) postal follow ups 1997, 2002 2007. Results 83.3% 3.2% cohort remained stable with respect use nonuse regular care. Cochran's Q test revealed that proportions reporting decreased from 93% at 50–87% (P < 0.001). Generalized estimated equations following covariates; gender (females), country (native born), marital status (married), perceived quality (good perceptions), child, remaining teeth oral problems. The influence variable time, functioning measure period/ageing, maintained statistically significant relationship after adjusting all covariates model. Conclusion Regular services slightly but significantly most prevalent socio-economically advantaged groups, among those own teeth, problems reported high results have implications planning elderly required workforce countries similar welfare systems.
