摘要: Fucoxanthin (Fx) has preventive effect against muscle atrophy and myotube loss in vitro, but it not yet been examined vivo. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the of Fx on dexamethasone (Dex)-induced fat mass mice. ICR mice were fed with diets from 2 weeks before Dex treatment end study. Muscle was induced by oral administration Dex. Body weight significantly lower treatment. Visceral Fx-treated group than those control group. The Dex-induced decrease tibialis anterior ameliorated attenuated lipid peroxidation compared Dex-treated groups. phosphorylation AMPK higher expression cytochrome c oxidase (COX) IV These results suggest that may be a beneficial material prevent vivo, addition loss.
