摘要: Displays which aim at visualizing 3D scenes with realistic depth are known as “3D displays”. Due to technical limitations and design decisions, such displays might create visible distortions, interpreted by the human visual system artifacts. This book chapter overviews a number of signal processing techniques for decreasing visibility artifacts on displays. It begins identifying properties scene brain utilizes perceiving depth. Further, operation principles most popular types explained. A channel is proposed general model reflecting these principles. The applied in analyzing how quality influenced display distortions. analysis allows set optical directly related perceived quality. methodology measuring creating profile discussed. comparative study introducing measurement results position sweet spots different presented. Based knowledge artifact understanding distortions introduced displays, mitigation overviewed. These include passband optimization addresses typical (e.g. Moire, fixed-pattern-noise ghosting), framework tunable anti-aliasing filters real-time algorithms view-point based optimization.
