A cross-layer approach to energy balancing in wireless sensor networks

摘要: We consider a many-to-one real-time sensor network where sensing nodes are to deliver their measurements base station under time constraint and with the overall target of minimizing energy consumption at nodes. In wireless networks, unreliability links limitations all resources bring considerable complications routing. Even in presence static nodes, channel conditions vary because multipath fading effects due motion people or objects environment, which modify patterns radio wave reflections. Also, typically battery-powered, ongoing maintenance may not be possible: progressive reduction available needs factored in.
