摘要: In France, animal tuberculosis (TB) due to Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) affects a multi-host community that include cattle and wildlife species such as wild boars (Sus scrofa), badgers (Meles meles), or deer (Cervus elaphus, Capreolus capreolus). The involvement of foxes in the epidemiology TB is fairly described countries facing multispecies concerns. After discovery grouped cases French endemic region, study was implemented core four areas Dordogne, Charente, Landes (departments Nouvelle-Aquitaine region), Cote-d’Or (Burgundy-Franche-Comte region). No infected fox found (n = 146), where parallel other became sparse last years. contrast, Landes, 13 184), 9 98) 7 140) were by M. bovis, respectively, corresponding 7.1% (CI95% 3.8–11.8%), 9.2% (4.3–16.7%) 5.0% 2.0–10.0%) prevalence rates, respectively. These infection rates are comparable with those observed boar these same three (ranging from 13.2% 4.3 17.9%, respectively), number outbreaks has increased 10-15 each area, genotypes foxes’ isolates local species. None presented TB-like gross lesions. mesenteric lymph nodes 28 (68%). For 12 retropharyngeal respiratory analyzed separately, present eight individuals. With regard excretion, appropriate samples available for Dordogne. DNA detected feces five animals, which nodes. Combined knowledge on biology ecology foxes, results this suggest still active might play role spillover host bovis.
