摘要: Abstract Objectives : To review the evidence that package of labour interventions collectively called “active management” - namely, strict diagnostic criteria for labour, early amniotomy, use oxytocin, and continuous professional support reduce rates caesarean sections operative vaginal delivery in first labours. Design Review observational data, supplemented by from four separate overviews relevant randomised trials previously published as part Cochrane Collaboration pregnancy childbirth database. Results Observational data do not permit a clear conclusion. There have been no total active management or alone, but these combined suggest are effective reducing deliveries.
