摘要: By means of pelvic ultrasonography, a multifollicular ovarian appearance was observed in women with weight-loss-related amenorrhoea. Multifollicular ovaries (MFO) are normal size or slightly enlarged and filled by six more cysts 4-10 mm diameter; contrast to polycystic (PCO), stroma is not increased. Unlike PCO patients, MFO were hirsute serum concentrations luteinising hormone follicle stimulating decreased, respectively. The uterus small indicating oestrogen deficiency. In MFO, treatment gonadotropin releasing (LHRH) induced ovulation 83% cycles there seven pregnancies 8 women; PCO, only 40% ovulatory eleven (8 women) but these aborted. morphology reverted cycles, whereas the pattern persisted despite presence dominant follicle. may represent response weight-related hypothalamic disturbance control.
