Data Sources For this systematic review meta-analysis, PubMed Embase were searched English-language studies published January 1, 1977, through 31, 2017. Study Selection Observational reporting unselected populations selected. Extraction Synthesis Two independent reviewers evaluated study quality bias using items from Newcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale Diagnostic Accuracy Studies tool. that included highly selected populations, lacked detailed inclusion criteria, and/or 25 or fewer excluded. Main Outcomes Measures The pooled Results A total 129 unique studies, including 34 432 patients 6358 (40 790 women), analyzed. was 91% (95% CI, 87%-93%), irrespective tumor stage. 9% 8%-11%), estimates varying use hormone therapy (range, 7% [95% 6%-9%] 12% 9%-15%];P Conclusions Relevance Early focused have potential capture as many 90% cancers; most will diagnosed cancer. These results can aid assessment clinical value new markers management help inform epidemiologic prediction models support decision making.
