摘要: The effect of oxygenation on the dissipative fluxes K in trout red blood cells has been determined. Unidirectional influx under low oxygen tension (PO2 = 1 kPa) was 0.56 +/- 0.07 mmol.l-1 packed cells.h-1. Within a few minutes equilibration with high 120 kPa), increased 14-fold, and this associated progressive loss KCl cell shrinkage. progressively declined over following 3 h to levels close those characteristic at tension. Replacement medium Cl by NO3- or methane sulfonate inhibited stimulation due as did furosemide extracellular pH. oxygenation-stimulated highly volume sensitive, being up 100% osmotic swelling decreased By contrast, small unaffected either replacement shrinkage only extreme swelling. Thus activated Cl-dependent furosemide-sensitive flux. Once activated, mechanism rapidly deactivated transfer back but slowly when maintained PO2. flux promotes rapid more complete regulatory decrease than
