摘要: Abstract Microdiesel obtained from microbes using renewable materials as carbon sources is an important alternative to petroleum diesel. This review provides information related microdiesel production various sources; i.e. dioxide, C2, saccharides, and lignocellulose. Microbes can accumulate different contents of fatty acids in the form triacylglycerol (TAG). Not all store utilize a broad range substrates sources, vice versa. be engineered consume increased amounts with composition. The properties depend on its acid profile, which turn determines efficacy. structural features acids, such chain length, branching degree unsaturation, affect physiochemical biodiesel (cetane number (CN), oxidation stability (OS), iodine value (IV), cold flow properties, density kinematic viscosity). Fatty methyl ester (FAME) profiles used evaluate key biodiesel, oil used. overview presented herein concludes that non-feed genetically shows much promise.
