摘要: Heterochromatin formation and nuclear organization are important in gene regulation genome fidelity. Proteins involved silencing localize to sites of damage some DNA repair proteins heterochromatin, but the biological importance these correlations remains unclear. In this study, we examined role double-strand-break organization. We find that ATM kinase Tel1 Mre11 Esc2 can silence a reporter dependent on Sir, as well other proteins. Furthermore, aid localization silenced domains specific compartments nucleus. identify two distinct mechanisms for protein–mediated silencing—via direct indirect interactions with Sir proteins, by tethering loci periphery. This study reveals previously unknown between suggests insights into mechanism underlying integrity.
