摘要: Segmenting individual cell nuclei from microscope images normally involves volume labelling of the with a DNA stain. However, this method often fails when are tightly clustered in tissue, because there is little evidence on where borders are. In paper we present which solves limitation and furthermore enables segmentation whole cells. Instead using stains, used stains that specifically label surface or cells: lamins for nuclear envelope alpha-6 beta-1 integrins cellular surface. The performed by identifying unique seeds each nucleus/cell expanding boundaries until they reach limits nucleus/cell, as delimited lamin integrin staining, gradient-curvature flow techniques. We tested algorithm computer-generated objects to evaluate its robustness against noise applied it cells culture tissue specimens. all cases gave accurate results.
