摘要: [Extract] The appropriate conduct of health research in Indigenous communities is an ongoing topic discussion, underpinned by ethical, epistemological and methodological issues. Data collected, analysed disseminated from has typically met the needs researcher first, with often playing a passive role process. Australia's National Health Medical Research Council's (NHMRC) 'Road Maps I II: Strategic Framework for Improving Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander through Research' provide guidelines to ensure concerns Australian (Aboriginal Islander) are met. guidelines' six principles relate ethical overall objective making relevant peoples involved (see Table 1).
