摘要: I. ABSTRACT The production of HCN by higher plants is due to the presence, in plants, compounds which release when acted upon enzymes also usually found plant. cyanogenic compounds, commonly glycosides α-hydroxynitriles, are presumably located one part plant cell (e.g. vacuole) while degradative another. Numerous factors influence potential toxicity compounds. These include: concentration compound(s) plant; amount toxic ingested; size and kind animal involved; type food ingested simultaneously; possibility remaining active digestive tract animal; ability detoxify it encounters. Information on these factors, available varying degrees, summarized together with a description enzymatic process produced.
