Bismuth Doped PbO 2 Coatings: Morphology and Electrocatalytic Properties

摘要: Modified PbO2 anodes doped with bismuth were prepared by means of electrodeposition in methanesulfonate solutions. The influence ions on morphological and electrocatalytic properties obtained coatings was studied. Both XRD patterns SEM micrographs demonstrated that incorporation diminishes the size crystal particles. It is shown, oxygen overpotential micromodified electrodes sensibly higher than non-modified PbO2-electrode. According to results a hypothesis mechanism which include transfer an increased number radical intermediates Bi(III) produce sensible amount Bi(IV) Bi(V) can participate O2 evolution process proposed.
