摘要: An unusual photovoltaic effect has been observed in symmetrical cells consisting of indium-tin oxide (ITO) electrodes and a liquid crystal porphyrin (LCP, zinc octakis({beta}-octyloxyethyl)porphyrin). The illuminated electrode acts as photoanode; the direction current flow reverses upon reversal illumination. Stable photocurrents up to ca. 0.4 mA/cm{sup 2} have measured under illumination with 150-W Xe lamp (intensity 150 mW/cm{sup 2}). photocurrent increases linearly incident light intensity (I{sub 0}) at all wavelengths I{sub 0} > 10{sup 15} photons s{sup {minus}1} cm{sup {minus}2}. This is interpreted resulting from exciton dissociation leading preferential photoinjection electrons into ITO holes porphyrin. appears be first unambiguous example cell controlled entirely by interfacial kinetics.
