摘要: Abstract The aim of the study described in this paper is to investigate two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) flutter cantilevered pipes conveying fluid. Specifically, by means a complete set non-linear equations motion, two questions are addressed: (i) whether for system losing stability either 2-D or 3-D motion remains same type as flow velocity increased substantially beyond Hopf bifurcation precipitating flutter; (ii) bifurcational behaviour horizontal vertical one (sufficiently long gravity have an important effect on dynamics) similar. Stability maps tables used delineate areas versus mass parameter plane where motions occur, limit-cycle illustrated phase–plane plots, PSDs cross-sectional diagrams showing circular planar (2-D).
