NLO QCD corrections to pp/pp̄→WW+jet+X including leptonic W-boson decays

摘要: We report on the calculation of next-to-leading order QCD corrections to production W-boson pairs in association with a hard jet at Tevatron and LHC, which is an important source background for Higgs new-physics searches. Leptonic decays W bosons are included by applying improved version narrow-width approximation that treats as on-shell particles, but keeps information spin. Contributions from external bottom quarks neglected, because they either numerically suppressed or should be attributed different processes such Wt tt¯ production. A survey differential NLO cross sections provided both LHC Tevatron. The stabilize leading-order prediction section respect scale variations. However, dependence results only reduced considerably if veto against emission second applied. In general, do not simply rescale sections. particular, their shapes distorted additional energy involved.
