摘要: Abstract To estimate genetic structure of a soldier-producing aphid, Pseudoregma bambucicola, samples from natural populations throughout southeastern Asia were analyzed by DNA fingerprinting technique. We unexpectedly found that P. bambucicola comprises two geographic groups, the northern group and southern group, which are genetically distinct each other but morphologically almost indistinguishable. Molecular phylogenetic statistical analyses based on mitochondrial ribosomal sequences demonstrated groups not closely related constitute lineages in genus Pseudoregma. Detailed morphological reexamination revealed could be distinguished number setae 8th abdominal tergite 1st instar nymphs soldiers. From these results, it was suggested should divided into species.
