摘要: Abstract The effect of D-carnitine and tetradecylglycidic acid (TDGA), an inhibitor carnitine palmitoyltransferase, on intestinal absorption palmitic was determined. proximal segment ligated in adult male rats filled with 0.5 μCi 14C-palmitic alone or either TDGA. Thirty minutes later the radioactivity determined lumen, wall plasma. decreased presence (10 mg/ml) as evidenced by significantly lower levels gut plasma greater residual lumenal contents. L-carnitine had no but if D- were given together still evidence. TDGA also inhibited acid.
