摘要: The red clover necrotic mosaic dianthovirus (RCNMV) genome is split between two single-stranded RNA species. polycistronic RNA-1 encodes the viral polymerase and capsid protein (CP) monocistronic RNA-2 35 kDa cell-to-cell movement (MP). Nicotiana benthamiana plants transformed with RCNMV MP gene were generated. When inoculated onto transgenic plants, of occurred at a rate similar to wild-type virus. However, long-distance (leaf-to-leaf) was not observed. Neither CP nor virions detected in leaves plants. coinoculated mutants, which do express functional MP, readily systemic infection resulted. These results demonstrate that both are necessary for accumulation virions. Furthermore, found be required RCNMV. Therefore, these data provide evidence CP, form virions,
