摘要: Background/aims Survivin, a potential predictive marker to chemotherapeutic drugs, reduces the susceptibility of tumor cells proapoptotic stimuli, thereby promoting cell survival during treatment with anticancer agents. In present study, we examined correlation between drug-response and expression survivin in gastric cancer. Methodology Drug-response was performed by histoculture assay (HDRA) 42 patients advanced Survivin variants studied real-time RT-PCR at mRNA levels. Results our data, twenty-one cases (50%) were sensitive least one drugs tested HDRA 80% (16/20) positively confirmed clinically, 100% sensitivity 83.3% specificity. The diagnostic efficacy calculated as area under receiver operating characteristic (AUC-ROC) curve showed value 0.917. More importantly, significant statistical differences (p=0.012) chemoresponse docetaxel revealed depending on level wild-type survivin. Conclusions These clinical data demonstrated, for first time, that is useful evaluating docetaxel-response Moreover, an excellent individualize their chemotherapy.
