摘要: We report the successful implementation of a modified Traffic Control Bundling (TCB) protocol called "Red, Yellow and Green" on inpatient medical units at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada during first wave coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The TCB demonstrates an important example how hospitals can rapidly reorganize operational clinical processes to reallocate existing capacity minimize exposure, improve traffic flow reduce nosocomial transmissions COVID-19 health care workers (HCWs) other patients. Preliminary evidence benefits facility be redesigned for adjustable ward provide containment under context uncertainty transmission varying patient load. Important lessons preparation evolution pandemic fall into categories risk management, demand management.
