When injected into fish, C. catus produced symptoms similar those by venom. tulipa paralysed fish caused hyperexcitability, ataxia, dyspnea coma when mice. Respiratory failure appeared be responsible deaths with amounts , . Although not quercinus lividus some necrosis tissue haemorrhages at sites injection. Extracts capitaneus emaciatus extracts. marmoreus textile coronatus tiaratus gastropods only gastropods. these two other molluscan classes. polychaete, Phyllodoce malmgremi flavidus miles cnd vermiferous examined had no this It is suggested that piscivorous present real threat man. Some possess which may produce localised damage man molluscivorous such as do appear potential danger
