Tribological Properties of Surface-Textured and Plasma-Nitrided Pure Titanium Under Oil Lubrication Condition

摘要: Plasma nitriding was conducted as post-treatment for surface texture on pure titanium to obtain a continuous layer. Supersonic fine particles bombarding (SFPB) carried out prepare texture. The morphologies and chemical composition were analyzed using scanning electron microscope energy disperse spectroscopy. microstructures of modified layers characterized by transmission microscope. tribological properties surface-textured duplex-treated under oil lubrication condition systematically investigated in the ball-on-plate reciprocating mode. effects applied load sliding velocity behavior analyzed. results show that after duplex treatments, grains size layer becomes slightly larger, hardness is obviously improved. Wear resistance significantly improved referenced untreated titanium, which 3.22 times much 2.15 respectively.
