摘要: Abstract A greatly improved and very reliable synthesis of head to polystyrene (HHPS) was worked out. HHPS prepared in a sequence four steps starting with reductive photodimerization acetophenone. The resultant 2,3-diphenyl-2,3-butanediol dehydrated vacuum 2,3-diphenyl-1,3-butadiene, which polymerized 1,4-poly(2,3-diphenyl-1,3-butadiene) (PDPBD). PDPBD then hydrogenated (reduced) potassium ethanol HHPS.
