摘要: The three-dimensional motion in the close vicinity of Asteroid 433 Eros is known to be chaotic for a wide range inclinations. This asteroid potato-shaped, clearly distinct from an oblate body and, therefore, classical perturbation theories spheroidal bodies cannot reliably applied. To model gravity field elongated like this asteroid, we use very simple approach, finite straight segment, rotating uniformly about axis perpendicular it. It that potential function segment given closed-form, avoiding thus both divergency and time consuming finding derivatives. For model, compute periodic orbits, emanating planar resonant orbits. these stable-unstable transition, which provides partition phase space, giving qualitative explanation majority relevant dynamical features previously observed —w orking with either general or special —i n around Eros.
